At Peacock Nails, we care about our customers’ safety. We are continually updating our salons with measures that satisfy the health & safety requirements of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Barbicide plan of action, the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology, the State of California, and the County of San Diego.

At the end of the day, we are human. Our team is working with our hands to physically draw designs, scrub heels, and polish nails. We truly appreciate those extra few minutes to help complete all our client requests. Kindness goes a long way and is always remembered.

Appointment Policies

By agreeing to book an appointment with Peacock Nails, you understand that Peacock Nails will not be able to guarantee an immediate or exact timed appointment. Our appointments help prioritize you over walk-ins. Our salon is not able to guarantee an immediate or an exact minute-by-minute appointment system due to many underlying factors including but not limited to:

  • Previous client run behind due to intricate designs
  • Previous client asked for last minute requests
  • Previous client arrived late which increased wait times
  • Each technician’s speed level varies

We ask for your kindness and patience as our team truly needs those extra few minutes to finish our services. Help come prepared with color ideas, backup designs (in case a design is too complex for our expertise or out of your budget range), parking, and check-in.

Arriving more than 7-minutes late to check-in for your appointment will automatically place you on our walk-in list regardless if you call in advance. If your plans have changed and you cannot make it to your appointment, please provide a courtesy call to Peacock to let us know so that we can help assist other customers.

We have the right to schedule your appointment if you decide to change your color or design when we are close to the completion or have completed your service. It is only fair to the next appointment after yours, and our staff members’ time. We are happy to have you return to get your service fixed or redone within a reasonable return timeframe.

Walk-In Policies

We accept walk-ins on a first-come, first-serve basis.

If you decide to leave to walk around the plaza, head to Starbucks, etc, after placing your information down, there is no guarantee we can accept you when you return due to the high rise of no-shows even with phone confirmations. We try our best to be fair to all guests, including the ones that are willing to wait in-store.

Design Policies

Our team will try our best to replicate your designs, which is why we never promise designs will be exact as the image or inspiration provided. We all have our own individual artistic style. It’s also important to bring backup designs in case due to our technician not being able to provide the service or inspiration requested.

Same-Time Services Policies

At this time, Peacock Nails is not able to provide same-time services for guests. Our team is short-staffed and ask that you factor in extra time to be with us since we will be doing one service after the other.

If you come on a weekday during a slower time period and we have available technicians, we’d be happy to accommodate same-time services given we have the staff capacity.

Pricing

At any time during your session you need an updated total cost for your services, please kindly ask our technicians. We understand that language barriers can cause frustration and trained all our staff members to properly explain your service costs.

  • Why Do You Charge for Longer Nails: 
    • For longer extensions, we allocate additional time and utilize more materials to ensure optimal durability and beauty. The intricate process of building longer extensions requires meticulous attention to detail, skilled hands, and premium materials. Therefore, the cost of longer nail extensions encompasses both the time invested by our talented technicians and the quality materials used to achieve stunning results. We believe in transparency and quality, striving to offer you the finest nail services that exceed your expectations.
  • If I bring my own materials, will I still have to pay the base price or will it be reduced?
    • No. We no longer allow outside materials, nail supplies, or other equipment provided by customers to be used in the stores.

Use of Outside Products or Customer-Owned Supplies

At Peacock Nails, we strive to provide the highest quality services using professional-grade products that have been rigorously tested and sourced to ensure optimal results. We understand that some guests may have preferences for certain products they use at home. However, for the safety and satisfaction of all our clients, we kindly inform you that we do not perform services using products brought in from outside the salon.

Reasons for Our Policy:

  1. Quality Assurance: Our salon exclusively uses high-end, quality products that have been chosen for their performance and safety. Products brought from outside may not meet our salon standards and could yield different results than expected.

  2. Professional Expertise: Our technicians are trained to work with specific products that they are familiar with, ensuring they can achieve the best outcomes for our clients.

  3. Client Safety: Using unknown products carries risks, including allergic reactions or unintended outcomes, which we aim to avoid by using our tested and trusted materials.

Our Commitment to You:

While we appreciate your trust in products you may use personally, our commitment remains to deliver consistent, professional results using our own materials. This policy helps us maintain our high standards of service and ensures your safety and satisfaction during and after your visit.

Acceptance of Responsibility:

We regret any inconvenience this policy may cause, but it allows us to uphold our commitment to quality and safety. Peacock Nails cannot accept responsibility for the performance or effects of products not provided by our salon, both during your visit and thereafter.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this policy. We understand this policy does not satisfy all guests and ultimately understand if guests opt to find other salons that will accept outside products.

Discount Policies

As part of our commitment to treating all our guests equally and fairly, we would like to inform you about our discount policy. Peacock Nails does not offer discounts for any specific or special groups as this approach allows us to provide consistent and fair pricing to all our guests. 

In addition, this ensures everyone receives the same exceptional service and value. We express our gratitude by extending our standard, non-discriminatory pricing to all. Thank you for understanding and being part of our Peacock Nails community.

Sanitation Policies

We have increased our already stringent sanitation procedures to ensure advanced protection for our staff and guests. These include the cleaning and disinfection of hard surfaces, equipment, displays, chairs and headrests, appliances, work stations, treatment rooms, and pedicure bowls, and the wipe down of soft surfaces.

Paraffin Wax Policies

At Peacock Nails, we want to emphasize that we NEVER reuse paraffin wax on our valued customers. Our strict policy ensures that each use of paraffin wax is a one-time occurrence. We understand the importance of maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and we take every measure to uphold the trust you place in us.

Technician Requirements

In addition to the safety and procedures we enforce all our technicians to follow, we do require that all technicians have at least 5 sterilized clippers with them at all times. This is to ensure if a clipper was to be accidently dropped, it can be easily replaced. 

We encourage all our customers to ask for their prices prior, during, and after their services to ensure that transparency and clarity have been provided for all services received. We encourage our technicians to write on their tickets the breakdown cost of all nail services including designs to ensure that they fall within your budget. If the service cost we provide does not fall within your budget, please do not hesitate to tell us so we can mutually find something that we can do to work within your budget.

Tools Policies

Our team is dedicated to maintaining a pristine and hygienic environment. We adhere to rigorous cleaning protocols that include thorough sanitation of tools, equipment, and all surfaces regularly. Your well-being is our top priority, and we want you to feel confident in the cleanliness of our salon. 

To further ensure the highest standards of hygiene, our Peacock Nails staff members utilize multiple tools that undergo a meticulous sanitization process. These tools are placed in our advanced sanitizing machine before being carefully arranged in our sanitizing blue bags. We make it a point to open these bags in front of our customers, demonstrating our commitment to transparency and the meticulous care we take in providing you with a clean and safe salon experience.

A new pedicure liner, buffer, file, and scrub is used every time.

Masks

We prioritize the comfort and well-being of our clients. While masks are not required, we encourage their use for individuals with underlying health conditions or those who may be sensitive to the natural odors associated with nail treatments. We make every effort to minimize chemical odors, but it’s important to note that we cannot guarantee 100% odor removal. Your understanding and cooperation in creating a comfortable environment for everyone are greatly appreciated.

Repairs

If you have concerns about your hands or feet services after leaving our store, you are encouraged to call us immediately within a 7-day timeframe. Our team will prepare a case with the internal team for review and will notify you on a solution that we can come to terms with. If you are directed to come to the store within a specific timeframe but are unable to make it due to your personal scheduling issues, we do not offer discounts or refunds on the experience. If repairs are required but it falls outside of the returnable timeframe, you may need to pay full price for services. 

If you call the salon and say that you’re unable to make it due to your schedule being too busy and you want to receive a “discount” or “refund” for the experience, we will not opt for this option. 

Weekend Expectations

Appointments run over, it’s common within our industry, but rest assured you haven’t been forgotten. Sometimes, things run out of our control, but we’re always working on ways to improve our systems. 

Please note that weekends are always busy, with a high influx of appointments, walk-ins, phone calls, and general inquiries. We try our best with limited staff to accommodate as many people as possible. 

Weekday Expectations

Peacock Nails recommends guests who can avoid weekends, come on weekdays Monday through Thursday between 9:30 a.m. through 4 p.m.

While we’re open until 7 p.m. daily, please note that between 4 p.m. – 7 p.m., we have a high influx of appointments and walk-ins from the “after-work” crowd which could make it feel like a weekend.

Ingrown Toenail Removal

Salons are not permitted to perform ingrown toenail removals. This action can only be performed by a medical professional. Our goal is to provide cosmetic solutions and strongly advise all customers looking for ingrown relief to seek medical attention from their physician’s care. What Peacock Nails can help with is trim the nail, care for the skin around the nail, and moisturize the area to help alleviate the issue.
